Chris Bath

Chris Bath is an Australian journalist, radio and television personality. Recently Chris has been filling in as Drive host on Sydney’s ABC Radio and reporting and hosting on The Project for Network TEN. She was previously the primary anchor of Sydney’s 6:00pm Seven News bulletin. Chris spent 20 years at the Seven network reading news, hosting the current affairs program Sunday Nightand even appearing on series three of Dancing with the Stars.
Chris was born in Auburn in Sydney’s western suburbs and raised in South Wentworthville and attended Holroyd High School. Later, she enrolled at Sydney University where, in 1985, she studied English, psychology, German and legal institutions before deciding on a career change to study communications at Mitchell College (now Charles Sturt University) in Bathurst.
Not only was Chris accepted into the course, she also won a scholarship, and majored in politics. During the last year of her three-year course, she was offered a job at Sydney AM radio station 2UE as a cadet reporter and newsreader. A year later Chris began working as a reporter and newsreader in regional news stations before being offered a job by the Seven network in Sydney in 1995.
